Executive Director

An executive director for M.O.T should be a ball of entrepreneurial energy and willing to take on the complexities of a new business/organization.  They need to possess the skills of a good salesperson, convincing leader, and excellent recruiter.  Being tech and social media savvy and to have a good understanding of the Jewish community landscape is essential. Some words to describe themselves should be savvy, smart, quick, productive, and creative. They’ll need to juggle the strategy of a website, oversee relevant programming, as well as be a community organizer, event speaker, and member schmoozer while keeping attention to detail. Someone who can be a visionary for the future role of progressive Jewish Identity would be ideal. Having private sector entrepreneurial experience would be highly valuable in this role and would help in your ability to meet the metric based goals set by our board. They should have social and cultural relevancy with millennials in either the private or non-profit sector. Having a extensive personal social network becomes very valuable in this role. 6-15 years work experience required.  If you have had a desire to make your own Jewish engagement more relevant than what you have seen, this is the job for you.  100K+ based on experience.

Community Organizer

This job requires 1-7 years post college work experience.  We are looking for someone with leadership and organizational ability. Having a preexisting social network or the desire to build it further is key in being successful as our community organizer.  It would be ideal to have experience in an organization that operates as a tight knit community or with a membership model (college sports, sorority, military, etc.). Demonstrated ability to be a social connector is necessary.  A community organizer should have experience producing from conception to completion conferences, courses, and/or social events. Experience applying PR and promotion solutions is helpful.  The candidate should be able to demonstrate creative social media solutions that they have implemented in their own personal or business life.  If you have had a desire to make your own Jewish engagement more relevant than what you have seen, this is the job for you.
