MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

M.O.T members are talented, bright, driven, respectful of others, practice integrity, accountability and care deeply about social impact. They are intellectual, creative, innovators, movers and shakers, and leaders in their fields or aspiring leaders with Moxie. Our members represent a diverse range of industries and backgrounds and all share the commitment to support each other's endeavors.

Requirements for membership


30+ years old 

Jewish background, we let you define what that means.

Attending one event as a non-member is required, so you meet the club and the club meets you.

 

Subjective Criteria

 

Our application process weighs the following 4 categories:

Career - diverse, accomplished, or unique

Leadership in a hobby, interest, cause

Referral or recommendation from another member

Je ne sais quoi…“That special something”

THE M.O.T MEMBERSHIP PROCESS

Attend One Event
You are encouraged to attend one event as a non-member/prospective member.
This is required so you meet the club and the club members meet you.

Mutual Feedback From Your One Event

 

It is essential: It’s a big deal that the Feedback/Survey form sent to you by email or text immediately after your event is filled out and returned. In the survey we ask you directly if you want to become a member.   a) Yes, b) No

c) I want to speak further with the executive director to clarify something.  

 

If we don’t get the survey back in 21 days…M.O.T drops you from our membership loop.  Our committee will decide on you, within 14 days receiving your survey back. Note: We will keep you on our outsiders email list so you see what we’re up to...but you will not be asked to another event as a prospective member for 12 months nor can you “decide to join” after the 21 day period. 

We weigh all constructive suggestions and feedback on your survey, no matter if you’re interested or not. We are always looking to improve.

 

We offer a 15 minute phone call or zoom video interview  with the executive director after your event if either of us want to discuss anything related to your membership.

Membership Decision is Reached
 

The committee reviews your application and your feedback/Survey Monkey from your non-member/prospective member event.  The Committee then decides yes, no, or wait list.  You will receive a decision by letter or email.

Reminder On Monthly Dues

Dues are $35 per month. You can cancel at any time.

If you cancel for any reason you are not allowed to rejoin for 18 months.
